FireDragons - That's How We Roll

I just wanted to send out a quick note as we have reached the half way point in the season and commend the boys on a great start. As we came off of a hard, losing season, having some wins under our belt this early on gives me confidence and fills the team with excitement. With a start of 4-1, we're on our way to finishing out the season strong. I'm very please with how well the team is starting.

Some specific things that come to mind when I think of how the team is playing are:

• Team work
• The team looks to play together rather than as separate individuals.
• Passing is at the heart of our game, sending diagonals both forwards and backwards into space and looking to make runs that will enable a pass to be made into open space
• Tenacity
• Every ball that is misplayed is a challenge
• 50/50 balls turn into 70/30 to our advantage when we pressure up and give the effort
• When we get beat we overlap with our helpers and we cover their space
• Positivism
• A winning team, and a happy team from winning, is positive
• Whether on the bench or on the field, our walk and talk is one of sportsmanship and building each other up

Regardless of the outcome of the rest of the season, I'm super proud of the boys and how far they've come this season. Thanks for a great start and let's focusing on these key points above. Because...
